I haven't modded 3DS in forever, so for some reason I've forgotten most things.
Just wondering what ALL I have to do to update to the newest firmware which is 11.0.0-33 U

I remember something about updating the SysNAND through a normal update but ejecting the SD Card?
Could something just give me a rundown please? Thanks in advance.

I'd have to check what I'm on at home, but yes. I'm running quite a few things actually.
I just want to know how to update properly without messing things up.

update the emunand, not the sysnand.
if you update the sysnand, it's game over for you
If you're running menuhax+cfw, make sure your nands are unlinked.
If so, you can safely update your emunand without removing the sd

if you are a returing member to the scene and havn't touched your 3ds for a while, first thing you should do is update to 9.2. Follow this guide on how to update to 9.2.0. From there follow this guide to get the latest cfw.
