Western Digital External Hard Drive problem

    I am deaf and live in the USA for now :D

    I have all files and games on my Western Digital External Hard Drive and guess what ? I accident click format and it erased everything too late. How do I bring them back ? HELP!

    Depends on what file system you have and if it was a quick or full format.

    Look for recovery software, there are some free ones out there.

    It was a quick format. I did search for recovery software and I find the best one: DDR NTFS recovery and I saw my files there but it wont recovery until I buy a register... 70 dollars?! I cannot find a personal free software.. If you know.. I beg of you.. Please help me out. Thanks.

    Unfortunately most will want to charge you in the end, but I did find one for my SD card, unfortunatley I cannot remember what it was called,

    Use google for freeware data recovery and you will find one in the end, most are freeware to see the files and cough the dosh to get the files but some completely free are out there

    I found a free personal software and I m glad that my files are back to C:\ and now I transfer it to my WD Passport External Hard Drive once again. WHEW! Thanks for the hint, Kittyman. CHEERS!
