I'm on here a crap ton, so much that I don't think I can accurately identify a daily routine.

As others have said there's no problem with it until you notice that it may be taking away from other commitments

Mine (lame) routine
1-wake up at 7:30
2-my phone is close to my bed so I grab it and browse the latest threads of gbatemp and news for like 5 minutes
3-shower/breakfast
4-while I'm going to school I browse the web and the gbatemp for about 20 minutes(typical time it takes me to get to school)
5-have school for about 5 hours and during the breaks either talk to friends or browse gbatemp
6-lunch break-lunch and browse gbatemp during the school-home trip and and the home-school trip so about 40 minutes accumulated.
7-more 5 hours of school and during the breaks either going to the temp or friends.
8-when school finishes I go home(during the way home I usually browse the news or sometimes the temp)
9-i have dinner and study for about 4/5 hours
10-after that I browse the temp with skype, 4chan and other 10 tabs of chrome opened researching and learning computer science.
And at 2/3 am I go :P
So I can say I'm kinda of an addict :P

It occurs to me that many of the routines posted by members here are not so different to any other people. We're not talking about the 80s/90s where only geeks spent time online and this was considered to be unusual or asocial behaviour. Everyone spends a lot of time online now. Look how much time people spent on Facebook or tweeting or whatever.

I actually favour the use of sites like temp because they have a specific purpose and focus on a shared topic of interest. Other types of social media like Facebook seem to be more about telling everyone else what's going on in your life and paying little attention to what everyone else is doing apart from skimming through photos and comments (the Facebook 'Like' button is despicable for this reason). That's not communication in my opinion - it's showing off the best bits of your own life to people you probably don't know well enough to really call friends and probably don't care anyway because they're too busy doing the same.

Here we talk about things we actually have in common and have shared interest in. We get to know each other, albeit in a slightly quirky and unconventional way. I think that's much 'healthier' than spamming Facebook for hours a day with information nobody cares about.

If people actually acted their same behaviour patterns when posting on FB in actual real life, they would be locked up in a mental house.

Imagine going on a bus and telling everyone, everywhere, what you ate, what clothes wore yesterday, how many times you went the toilet today while showing off pictures of yourself and others.

I completely agree. People behave even more bizarrely on Facebook than they do in the 'real world'. Seeing the way so called 'normal' people behave both on- and offline makes me glad to be autistic...

Mum n dad goes to family, I'd rather be on Temp.
Bf is with me, I'm still on Temp.
As long as he's happy with that, who cares? :) My bf never tells me I spend too long here. Though he does sometimes have to tell me to listen as I can only pay attention to one thing at a time so don't notice him talking if I'm reading or writing something here ^_^

He's playing games and I'm playing games/be on Temp.
When he needs me attention he just grabs it.
You know in what way ;p
Same goes for him, if I want his attention, I just grab it~

Announcing it on a megaphone and stuff, sure you would be sectioned before you could describe your lunch. However facebook is theoretically for people you know and though some things may or may not be divided a bit along gender most of that seems like fairly standard pub conversations.
"Mate I had this wicked curry last night", that said in many cases I remember the futurama bit where the crab lady proclaims she woke up this morning and had a piece of toast.
"I went out wearing my new dress last night", "I got this new hat". "seen my new kicks?"...
"Dude, I don't know what I ate but I have not wanted to be far from the throne all day today", or alternatively "Something gummed me right up".
Photos has changed a bit but I have long seen folders of holiday snaps or party pictures people drag with them to elsewhere, photos in wallets of pets and kids and whatnot, the rise of digital cameras changed things again for some, crappy cameras in phones also changed a couple of things.

I would agree though that it is banal as you like which is part of the reason I never bother with such sites. I feel bad enough as it is occasionally posting about/posting some of the highlights of my continually growing tool and (usually older) science/engineering book collection in the things you recently got thread.

I would seriously recommend forcing yourself into some time limit.
Let's say, browse gbatemp because of browsing only 2h a day.
Unless you have some specific goal, like e.g. you are writing some program and want to receive feedback, or are organizing some event, or you accorded to meet someone or do something, etc.
Use your time better, set goals that interest you, try to achieve them.
Learn things that you want to learn, and later apply them (but something that you decided and set as a goal, don't tell me you learn things browsing aimlessly because even if it holds some little true it is BS).
Go out, do things, etc.

Of course, I recommend all this but I don't do it myself.
In any case I can say that I could use my time better, but it is not only because of gbatemp.
I manage my time horribly, and end up spending too much of it on vices that are not really productive.
Short story, try to learn effectively (not like me) how to manage the obsessive behavior that makes you sink time that may be better used in a different way either for achieving enjoyment or knowledge.

I was originally planing on leaving but I want your guy''s opinion. I seem to be a bit attached to the site here is my routine

1) Wake up
2) Go to computer
3) Log into school
4) Log into gbatemp
5) End up waisting day helping people / having fun

I do that everyday all day except on weekends. On weekends I am mostly on skype. Now I do get out, around 3x a week actually I either meet uptown with my friend or I go for walks I sadly don't have a job yet. Now my question is. Do you think this is unhealthy. I've been thinking of leaving until E3 but if you guys think this is normal behavior let me know.

You can just..... "LOG IN" To school?

Let's pretend I'm older than i sound for a moment so i can say this.

Back in my day we used to get up at 6AM And prepare to go to school. We spend 6 hours there, we used to say the pledge of alliegence (even though i didn't know what i was the actual words was to say it out loud or what it meant) Have apple juice or chocolate milk for lunch with pizza and spinach and other weird combination of food only contaning salt, no other seasoning or condiments, and carry tons of heavy thick hard covered books home that almost broke our backs and back pack. Then we had so much home work, i stay up to 2 am trying to complete it in one night for multiple subjects, and do it all over again.

You can Just log on to school? O_O
What the heck does that mean?
