That US consoles can play Mario strikers charged but I tried it on my US console and it didnt work

ehh yea.... I 've never patched a game and I've never had any problem with games from other regions, wiikey does it for me! It works like a charm...

Wiikey should automatically run other regions games. Just make sure you have run the Wiikey config disc and setup the region-free status. Region-free patching is pointless with the Wiikey.
