So I brought an psp go (N1001) a long while back, and I recently took it out. Apparently I had a hard time turning it on. Then I remember the seller said something about a power issue and that it works when it is charged.
Now I'm not sure if it's the battery or something but it takes multiple tries to turn on the handheld. I have noticed that when I press in the middle (on top of the analog and select/start button) it seems to turn off the system and it turns all lights. This also happens when I close the system without doing it slowly.
Sometimes, the light will turn on, when turning, but the system won't turn on. Pressing a few times in the middle, keeping it still, and turning it on seems to work most times.

Could anyone help with what's going on? Everything inside seems normal. This is the only PSP handheld I have such weird issue :/

sounds like it needs a new battery or motherboard. try the battery first, its much easier to test with a new one.
