I have two hard drives, One 500GB for Wii U games and other 320GB for Wii and GameCube games hidden with UStealth, both connected in separate USB power supplies (you know, the blocks with wall prongs and a USB port to charge your phone with a USB cable.), When i try to install Wii U games with WUP Installer GX2 while having hard drive for original Wii games plugged in, It comes with an error saying "0xFFFCFFE9 access failed (no USB storage attached?)" but when i unplug it, It installs fine so am i the first to discover this issue as i don't see anyone online who has the same issue as me?

Been troubleshooting this for so long and it's making me to pull my own hair.

Hello,

given your photo, put your hard drives next to your Wii U and not on top, this will prevent interactions between your Wii U and your disks (internet connection level ==> already seen on the forum for internet connection problem).

have you tested the hard drive (Wii U games) connected to the front?
and the other disk (Wii and Gamecube games) connected to the back?

I saw several people on the forum had the same problem as you.

I don't know if you've already seen this ==>

I have the Wii U nearly to my router in the same room, and does putting Hard Drives on top of my Wii U has to do with my problem? And no, i didn't tested the front ports because i don't want cables sticking from the front because it looks ugly.

the disk for wii and Gamecube games work better on the back.
the disk for wii U games works on the ports on the back as well as on the front.

mine is plugged into the port on the front (formatted in wii U format ==> with wii U games and wii games WiiVC Injector Script)

as I said in my previous message, when you have two disks ==> it's a mess.

the best ==> a single external hard drive, after all it depends on what you want (it's up to you);)

EDIT2 /

NOTE: As i said, When i unplugged the vWii hard drive but leave the Wii U drive on, It installs fine, But when i turn on the Wii U without the vWii Drive on and then plug the vWii drive in, It also installs fine so i believe there's some kind of software issue when the Wii U starts up so i think i need some kind of homebrew that blocks HDD access per homebrew.

NOTE: As I said, try using Nusspli to install those games while both HDDS are connected. If it works, good. If not then one drive at a time. And that would be the console limitation, as by default you can't connect two drives at once.

Is Nusspill available for Mocha CFW? That's the CFW i have. But i didn't mod it, It was the person i brought the Wii U from.

Well, that's a blast from the past. The answer is no and no modern apps/plug-in will work on it either.
Then i don't know what to do, My best bet is to wait for someone to make a homebrew that blocks HDD access to either port 1 or 2 to specific homebrew maybe by the RPX file or something.. Because i think there's nothing wrong hardware-wise, i believe it's on the software side of things.
