I couldnt find the topic that mentions this issue so I'm making a new one...

After installing my Wiikey today I noticed a weird cropping issue when playing games. There is a border around the display that was not there before. It does this on my original games as well as my backups.

The really weird part is it only does it when doing something 2d related. The intro on Zelda with link riding Epona displays full screen but when it switches to the FMV intro the border is there again.

I have an HDTV with the Nintendo component cables. I only read about this briefly yesterday and it seems some ppl had this problem and others didnt. So was there ever a solution? I have included two pictures to better illustrate my problem.

Full screen while doing 3d:

Cropped while doing 2d:

Thanks for your input!

The TV is made by Winbooks. Not the most respected brand ever but it works nicely. I just tried this on another display the same thing is happening so I doubt that is the problem.

Ok that makes me feel a little bit better. Other games I've noticed this in is Trauma Center(original) and Cooking Mama(backup.) I'm hoping the cropping is there for other ppl and I'm just being paranoid. Can anyone confirm this so I can sleep better tonight

You could try checking your settings in your tv and switch off auto aspect in case thats not helping with some games. I had to switch mine to widescreen to stop the screen jumping sometimes.
