    Anyone looked into building a native windows driver for WDFS formatted medium?
    I just thought of it and might persue it personally. All it takes is access to windows DDK and a little research.

    This link has all kinds of windows FS driver examples.

    WDFS? Never heard of that...what is it?

    If you're refering to WBFS, the format of the USB-Loaders, then...

    1) ...something like that exists already for Linux/Ubuntu...change the OS [IMG]?
    2) ...I don't see the point in this...why do you want that? Drag and Drop? Come on, you can't be that lazy... [IMG]
    3) ...it has nothing to do with Homebrew, so wrong section...

    To give a positive response to your post;
    It sounds like a great idea. To my knowledge nothing like this has been done yet. If windows could see the WBFS partition, it would make transferring a lot easier, plus give us the option to copy to the same drive on a seperate partition.

    Why have a WBFS driver for Windows when you just need to install WBFS Manager 3.0.
    Personally dont need anything other than that. [IMG]

    i would appreciate a native windows driver. could a native driver lead to the possibility to resize wbfs partitions?

    If you want WBFS resizing capabilities, maybe it would be a possibility to get PartedMagic (a Linux based partition suite that boots from usb pens ect.) and integrate the WBFS linux driver on it.

    But i dont got the Linux know-how to do that, maybe somebody on the forum here knows if its possible.

    I would actually love that for the simple reason that I'm tired of seeing the 'Format disk?' popup every time I connect my hdd hehe, sadly I can't help since I know nothing about how to do this, but if it comes out, I'll sure get it [IMG]
