Hardware wd pasport 320gb not recognized anymore ...

Hi ...,

I have my wii softmodded and it was running fine but from one day to another my hdd isn't recognized anymore.
The disk has one WBFS partition and one NTFS partition/
I tried booting with usb loader GX, neogamma etc.. but nothing.
Trying to look at the WBFS partition via wbfs manager on my computer goes fine ...

Once the disk is connected to my wii it does spin up, so I guess this is not a usb power issue ... or is it worth trying to connect the drive with a double usb-cable
so it gets more power ?
Are there any tools to diagnose the wbfs partition ?
Because all my games are on there and I do not have any backups , so if not needed i would not like to format the disk again.

Does anybody have an idea how to solve this ?

Wii is running version 4.1 and ios 2.49

Try a very short cable. The 320 passport takes much of power.
And yes: my tool can check a WBFS. (see signature)

i had that problem a few days ago turns out it fixed itself once i unplugged the hdd and put it back in?

Thanks ... I did use your tool to check and repair my disk.
Now its working again !
