Hardware Ways to identify a New 3ds Xl's region from it's motherboard

So recently i bought a motherboard from china to replace an old one in a new 3ds xl i had, just to realize my new 3ds had a broken part that wasn't related to the new motherboard.

Basically, i'm trying to figure out what region the motherboard is so if i was to go and order a japanese new 3ds xl, would i be able to swap the motherboard to swap the region without any risky ctr transfers by plopping the new motherboard in. there's a serial ID on mine which may be a sign, but i honestly don't know.
