Ive been wanting to backup some amiibos i have lying around via those nfc215 cards or whatever they are called, but i dont have a phone with NFC. Are there any ways i can do this via pc? i dont want those amiibo powersaves or N2 elite because they are FAR too expensive, and i hear the amiibo powersaves tags break down after some use.

Basically, i need a way to read them on my pc, and a software for reading/writing amiibo backups. thanks in advance

@Ericjwg any suggestions? a lot of the ones i see are around 40-50 dollars. also, what software can i use

-edit: was talking about pc nfc readers, now i have a different question. does this amiibac software save them to bin files so i can keep them on my pc?

But really, your best bet is to find an android phone with nfc and use tagmo. I found an old galaxy s4 used for $40 locally and now use it for tagmo amiibos, lego dimensions tag writer, and now nxloader for switch. I keep about 20 ntag15 stickers in the switch case so I can write amiibos if I need them for a new game. I keep 3 256gb flash drives with xci files and roms that I can put the switch sd card in the phone and write from the flash drive to the sd card if I want to change games. Sounds like a lot, but still a cheaper setup than carrying 30 games abd a switch around.

one thing though, it says i need something called an amiibo encryption key file. Do i have that already? or do i need to get it from somewhere

EDIT: i found one so we're all good now. Now i simply need a place to buy the tags from. Should i trust this?

I'm a bit skeptical because of how low the price is

The price sounds about right. I paid about $5 for a pack of 10 about a year ago.

I've recently bought this pack:
https://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot...&orderId=92043559181623&productId=32315909847
Way more handy than card.
Also on Aliexpress they sell sets of already programmed tags/cards with nice graphics.
