Water damaged ps vita

I have a ps vita that I’ve had for years but It doesn’t work because of water damage, I wanted to know if were to get a new mother board will it fix the vita

Are you sure its just the motherboard? If so they are easy to find on ebay.
But there might be damage to other component, and the controller pads on both side are also on separate PCBs.
I don't think you will be able to fix unfortunately, best case you have a donor Vita.

You can get donor parts on eBay for a couple dozen bucks. Get a testing homebrew to make sure the controller Isn't damaged.

Do keep in mind the internal storage will be gone since the NAND is soldered to the motherboard. Which also means your old memory card may be rejected, or it will just require a PSN sign in, not sure.

Fortunately, the less expensive parts of the Vita are very modular and easy to replace. Some of the replacement analog sticks out there are not great quality though.
