I heard there's a program that'll allow you to watch movies on your DS. I know you have to convert it into a format that can be read by the DS. Does anyone know what it's called? Is it good? Anyone tried watching an entire movie on the DS care to share his thoughts? I'm looking at the intro in Rune Factory 3 and it looks great, but not sure how live action stuff would look on it.

There's been several programs made for veiwing movies on the DS (Tuna-vis,VideoDS etc), many have not been updated for quite a while... but the most common/recommended program is called 'Moonshell2' - it play DPG files

However if you are lucky to have a DSTwo - that comes with 'iPlayer' (or 'Movie' as it is named) that can play AVI files, & I believe the iPlayer flashcard is also capable of playing movies

You are right though - it is better to convert your movies (to a lower resolution usually), trying to play movies in their 'normal' resolutions can cause headaches in frame jumping or sound sync problems

So how do I convert videos to DPG format? I got moonshell 2 and I can't understand what's going on.

Moonshell should also come with a converter tool called "DPG Tools" and is named "dpgenc.exe" if I remember correctly.

So simple, get a DVD, put it on top of your closed DS, and observe... no, just kidding. Use Moonshell to play DPG videos, or as I saw, use something called..
