I did watch the show for some time and also collected some of the cards (mainly just the ones where I thought the art was cool, lol). I haven’t ever actually played the physical card game, though, as opposed to playing it digitally as an original Xbox and GBA game.
I liked the initial premise of the manga that each story arc was a different creative game. Would have liked if Takahashi had gone back to rewrite the story in accordance to his original idea for the story. And we could have had a alternate universe story based on his first ideas.I don't like the card game but I enjoyed the manga a lot.
I believe it was Eternal Duelist Soul! And then the Xbox one was Dawn of Destiny.awesome! Which ones did you play? Stairway destined Duel, Sacred Cards, Reshef of destruction?
I never played the Xbox game of Yugioh!
This reminds me, the unofficial series finale dropped just a few days ago. Unofficial but features Little Kuriboh so it's kinda official. Until he finishes the series that is.I know this isn't the kind of reply you're looking for, but I did watch the Abridged series in college. My friends had found it in the early days of YouTube, and we had a good time watching it, each time an episode dropped. Unlike me, they knew their Yu-Gi-Oh, so they would fill me in on some of the plot points.
At least I was already familiar with 4Kids and their antics, so I got those jokes.
I welcome all replies. I also very much enjoyed the abridge series because they would point out like you said the 4kids antics, and also point out and make fun the story elements.I know this isn't the kind of reply you're looking for, but I did watch the Abridged series in college. Ha, I'm glad my reply was constructive! After all, everything I know about Yu-Gi-Oh comes from the Abridged series.I welcome all replies. I also very much enjoyed the abridge series because they would point out like you said the 4kids antics, and also point out and make fun the story elements.
I felt the manga added the needed backstory, lore and context. We jumped straight into duelist kingdom. Kind of like skipping dragonball to start on Z.The manga was a ton of fun.
