Koei Tecmo of Japan has uploaded some footage of Warriors Orochi 4, giving us an early look into about a minute of gameplay. Orochi 4 is set to release in Japan in 2018 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC, while the west will also get an Xbox One version.

So, late 2018, early 2019, or never for Western release. I'd bite if I knew the translating community gave a shit about this game.

    ----

You know I only care about getting this for Switch. If you don't know, now you know, (my fellow temper who listens to Wu-Tang).

We only have a release date for Japan, at least according to the press email I had. A west release is confirmed but with no date yet and an Xbox One version for certain.

    Got it.
    - Western localization will come not on the same date but later, with xBox one version confirmed, and other platforms will be announced.
    Thanks for clarifying.

Don't forget Dynasty Warriors 9! ^_^ I guess they are very very efficient when it comes to making games lol.

Edit: also keep in mind Tecmo consists of Temco Koei, Team Ninja and Omega Force. This still does not explain however how Omega Force is able to pump out all these warrior games so quickly... Do they re-use all their engines and assets maybe?

Lack of emphasis on quality for some of their games + their Musou games use, essentially the same formula, just different things tacked on.

Can't wait for August since that's the supposed release date. Hopefully the PC port isn't shitty. At least DW9's port wasn't bad compared to their previous ports.

Is Ryu Hayabusa in this one? I remember Warriors Orochi 3 had him, with his hype themesong from Stage 4-2 of the original NES game.

Agreed. If you played one, you've basically played them all. Which is sad because there is so much potential.

It's a shame DW9 was so buggy and half-assed. The open world had potential but since it did so poorly they're probably not going to attempt anything new for another 10 games.
