Hacking wanting to softmod my launch wii but

hey all, I'm very tempted to softmod my launch wii which is at 4.3 now, but the system files are corruptede everytime i try to look at the files on my sd card, it says system files are corrupted, should I try deleting the mail from the menu channel or? I think the hard drive in it is bad, because, it would freeze up when looking at certain things, like the wii shop channel and wouldn't for the longest time load the news channel, but before it started messing up it would load it fine. I would like to be able to play burned wii games from different regions so any help is appreciated.

Try formatting your SD card.

As XFlak said there is no need to reformat your Wii console.

Well judging by what the OP said...
"The Wii occasionally crashes/freezes"
And he hasn't modded....
So why not give it a try if it's having issues?

I haven't lost interest at all, I never get replies sent to my inbox so i never knew it was being replied too but ty guys for all of your help as soon as I can I'm gonna download modmii and usee it to mod my launch wii

Straight and simple, don't reformat your Wii. Use ModMii instead.
