Want to update firmware,how do I keep saves?

    I would like to update to 3.9 but how do I keep my game saves?

    Yes I did try the search function.

    Updating the firmware replaces the firmware...full stop. You do not touch any save/rom/homebrew files at all.

    uhm, just don't delete the .sav files?

    just copy the "system"folder of the new firmware and paste it in root of the m3

    I did this and all my game saves were gone.

    the game saves are inside the NDS folder, it cant be gone unless you deleted them.

    yes, I do see the save files in the roms folder, but when I change the firmware it does not reconize the save files.

    I'm not sure which version I got the card around march 08

    Some games (like trauma center 2 and GRID) don;t save/read on the sakura so just use the standard firmware until they fix it.
    Always make backups

    grid must be a microSD problem or something, saves fine for me.
