I have 30 bucks to use to buy something for my Wii, or anything in that matter. I'm trying to find a solder-less modchip for under 30 USD. Any suggestions?

$25.80 with free worldwide shipping, It's solderless, but it is a blank chip so you would need to program it (using the included programmer).

Doesnt come with a tri wing screwdriver but I think I saw one on that same site for like $2.00 or less.

    Who ever is reading this:

I was talking to Hiratai and he hasn't got a Serial port and can't get a PCI card because he wants to keep it under his budget. So i suggested a sodlerless wiikey

    I found a picture here:

That maybe the only option left.

Man samsam, you troll like it's your job dude....

As for on-topic. It really isn't that hard to solder in a wiikey. Just did one yesterday. If you don't know anything about soldering, then you must know someone who does. Ask around, you'll be surprised. I got a wiikey-triwing combo from canadamods.ca for like 21 USD. It takes them a few weeks to get the chip through customs but be patient and it will arrive. Your probably not going to find a good solderless solution for under $30. Maybe save some money and get a better one, that way you wont be disappointed later on.

Depending on what system comes back from the Nintendo repair, I may have a Wlip + YAOSM 2.0 available for sale. Yes, the Wlip kind of sucks, but I modified it a bit so that, once installed, it worked perfectly in my Wii. I say "depending on what system comes back" because if my original system is returned, I'll be reinstalling the Wlip + YAOSM myself, but if a new system comes back, then that combination won't work.

I'll post back in a few weeks when my Wii is returned.

Actually, I have a similar question. I ordered an ATmega8 with the KeyClip with a parallel port programmer, but my computer does not have a parallel port. I ordered a parallel-to-USB cable. Will it work with this?
