    Hello,
to put it simple, I want to get rid of all homebrew stuff that could be left on sysnand so that I don't possibly for some reason get banned in the future.(I am not banned now).
I had used only used sx os emunand , so am I safe doing nothing or should I do a factory reset?

Also, will I be able to redownload my games if I do an offline factory reset?

    Thanks in advance

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I have been using Nintendo's online services like every day on sysnand

Super Mario Maker 2 preparation I take it?

The only way to be 100% certain is to restore the nand from before CFW was ever booted. If that does not exist, then there are some very "involved" ways to semi-clean it that involve rebuilding the nand. Doing that is not really worth it honestly if you have only used SXOS with emnunand.

If the games are tied to your Nintendo Account, then Nintendo has a record of them. After re-linking a console account with that Nintendo account, the games can be downloaded again. That said, a factory reset should not be necessary if you are already using emunand.

You need to restore a clean nand if you decide to go legit. Factory reset isn't going to save you from getting banned since your logs are still there.

    Yes, it is. XD
I do have a 6.2.0 nand backup. If I restore it, will I be able to update to 8.1.0 the normal way and then not needing to use the dongle to avoid fusecheck?
Is that really necesary anyway? I've seen people bricking their switches by restoring nand backups.

It's because people don't read. You need to restore EVERYTHING not just your data.
You can do a full reset of the Switch with ChoiNX, atleast what I've read. It will clear the logs so hopefully your Switch never been connected to Nintendo.
