Nothing with external storage will have perfect speed and compatibility.
I recommend the X-ROM 512 from easybuy2000.com. Check reviews of it.

dude.... they haven't had X-Roms in stock for years.
not to mention the battery is not rechargeable, dies all the time, and replacing it is a **** pain in the ****. not only that
but the EZ3 is more compatible with games.

get an EZ3 or an EZ4. they have the best compatibility for GBA hands down.

i love seeing all the threads for m3 and g6 saying X game doesn't work.
even after i advised people to get an EZ3.
... Could you link to one of those threads? I never encountered any GBA rom that didn't work on my M3 Lite after patching it with the M3 Game Manager, except for the NES Classics (which needed a patch, so that isn't a big problem either...).
