Looks like it will take some time before someone answers in here
Cheers ; )
I pass. I don´t have to update. For what? That update add something useful?
Actually patches System Menu? Meh, still not very good, but better than his previous lame attempts. No need to update, so why release an updater?
There's also the shop channel factor.
That can probably still be updated and accessed without updating the System Menu to 4.3. If it still can't be accessed without updating the System Menu, then that is Nintendo's stupid fault, as that would basically just encourage the people who use unauthorized software to pirate Virtual Console/WiiWare games instead.
WiiSCU has already been updated for that.
Either way..... thanks for the option Waninkoko
I tested it and it works like a charm =)
Obviously someone who has 4.2 WON´T need this. I by myself have 4.2u and i´m NOT upgrading.
However, this option seems to save lifes, specially to those who didn´t know a shit and lost HBC posibility/homebrew due to upgrade.
Not even going to bother with this. Unless there's something beneficial in this update, why would you bother updating?
So... which one's correct?
Would this program even work if you used it after updating to 4.3 officially? Users on 4.2 can install things like the Homebrew Channel (JODI TitleID) just fine, where if they updated to 4.3, they lose the Homebrew Channel (unless they change its TitleID), and only have Indiana Pwns, and possibly Smash Stack and BootMii as boot2 to work with. Seems to me that this wouldn't help anyone who has already updated to 4.3 through Nintendo. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
Well english´s not my main language xD. But the text in spanish you marked reffers to "ability to keep alive homebrew channel´s functionality in 4.3". Hope that helps.
Thanks to both of you for correcting me ; )
Wouldn't upgrade for me! I have a legit Wii that I update, and play games on. I have the HBC for Animal Crossing tools. Odds are I will need to update this weekend when Sin and Punishment drops.
Go get em.. Waninkoko!!! Personally, I really never saw the point of moving from the Golden Child Rev14 to Rev19.... either... Rev 14 played all the games I threw at it and then some....
Useful for me. Retail games will come with the new System Menu required as a preinstall before you can run the game. Sure I could rip each game, scrub out the update, burn to pirate disc and load using a backup loader... but it's much more useful for me just to be able to run this update and forget about it, without having to worry that any new game anyone in my family loads will brick my Wii.
Or you can enable BLOCK DISC UPDATES.
