Herd in the grape vine that Cios rev 15 will be released this coming sunday :-) hope it combats the new copy right protection and has both Dual layer support and 001/002 error fix, as previos revs couldn't do both im sure.

Everyone was talking about how Waninkoko wouldn't maintain cIOS after rev14...

no one said that
they said he was finished releasing new apps
not maintain and update his previous works.

I hope that this is true - I've been enjoying Triiforce for playing wiiware on USB NAND, and it would be awesome if cIOS38 rev15 improved compatibility.

I hope it fixes dual layer support too, oh and I also hope it fixes whatever was causing superdump to mess up with it that was changed from 13b.

Other than that, the cIOS covers everything I want it to do. But fixing of copy protection in the IOS is always good, although I can usually fix things with a hex editor or patch whenever such a thing is required. That or get an updated loader(s) as loaders are often far ahead of the cIOS when it comes to handling copy protection. (Neogamma for instance. It beats everything I know to the punch as far as getting a new game to run is concerned.)

Forget about the 002 Error Fix and the new protection...I guess that Wanin will leave these out...the loaders can do both better, and it only slows down the loading times...

I hope that the Dual-Layer/Last Layer Issues are fixed...and FAT and RockBand-Support would be nice...oh well, let's wait and see...

Depends on how they are fixed. If it's by patching the code as it's loaded then that is bad. If it makes CIOS less detectable, then it will make it harder for Nintendo in the future.
Patching games in the loader is also bad, multi dol games won't work with that (although they don't work yet but still).

why the facination with FAT? It can't handle ISO files greater than 4gb. there are a handfull of those around, even when they're srubbed.
