stores here when they got really old stock usually are left at the full price, it's not hard to find games from 2005 or even earlier in stock for 60 bucks...
i really don't understand, and i wish i was making this up.. there are several good old games i really wanted to buy, but no fucking way i am paying the original full price
it kinda amuses me, but i find sad that they rather leave the stuff in the shelf than let me have it for a decent fair price

Mine has new sealed copies of Epic Mickey Collectors Edition, NSMBWii, Super Mario Galaxy 2 (!), and SSBB for around the same prices

I mean, what did you expect them to do, toss all the unsold games into the garbage? Maybe Gamestop does that for piles of shovelware that never sells, but most other stores just let it sit on discount shelves or in their warehouses for years until they throw them wholesale at other discount stores, or donate them to Goodwill and the like if the discount stores don't want them.

Though it should be noted that Brickseek prices are quite inaccurate when it comes to old item stock. I imagine if you actually went to that Walmart you wouldn't find it for $0.03, you'd find it for like $10-$15, or not at all.

Warioware DIY was on Brickseek for $0.03, and my brother got it for $0.03.

Looks like a clearance price. No idea what kind of system they use, especially since the store I work for doesn't sell videogames, but to clear out old shit, corp gives us money to put things below what we paid.

For things I know we can't sell, I put it at like 1c - $1 just to get the rebate. Otherwise we do just throw shit out cuz it's wasting money and manpower to deal with it.

My coworker bought Warioware on the Wii for $0.03. So, I'd imagine the pricing being accurate for some places, if not most.

"new 3rd party" sounds like it's not walmart themselves selling it, just acting as a middleman. Tons of stuff on their website is not actually sold by them, just like a lot of stuff on Amazon is someone use just using them to sell it for them.
