QUOTECalifornia is asking the court to put new limits on the Constitution’s free-speech clause and to let states treat violent games like pornography and restrict youth access.

They aren't moving violent games anywhere. They are simply trying to prohibit the sale and rental to minors.Magmorph said:If the law gets passed and it doesn't say anything directly about the rating then there is nothing stopping them from putting Mario on the list of violent games. Some people do consider Mario violent.
They aren't going to hand down a sweeping ruling declaring any game with ANY form of violence be banned from sale to minors. Backlash from game devs, publishers, and players would be immense. As incompetent as many of the guys in charge often seem, they aren't going to be that short-sighted.

Yes, it is the parents' faults, and there are tons of horrible parents in this world. Someone needs to act like a parent since the real ones usually can't be bothered.
