I believe that there's a way of testing WADs by running them from Trucha signed discs. I also believe that brickage may occur if a bad WAD is installed. So it would be prudent to test new WADs before installing them. Is the method still under wraps?
Furthermore, it seems I should also be able to create a Trucha signed content.bin without installing a WAD. And, I should be able to install a ticket on my machine without installing a WAD. In this case, I can install a ticket, and then use Data Management to copy the content.bin across. The Wii will prevent the transfer if there are any problems in the binary.
Does anyone know of tools which are designed for this?
EDIT: Also, does anyone know what exactly happens if you install a bad WAD and how to fix it? Cheers
