    Is this even possible if so are there any that utilize this? im trying to set up a folder with a bunch of files to make the modding experience easier. i'm tired of searching like crazy to compile all the files i normally use to mod a wii if i need to mod one.

    all that is missing is a way to install wads without a cios.

    Just install IOS236 (a patched version of IOS36).

    I think he's trying to avoid the IOS236 installer...if a WM can install using AHBPROT, there's no need for any application except the wad manager and HBC.

    As for the OP's question: MMM can use AHBPROT and it has a wad manager.

    I do not fully trust AHBPROT after the Priiloader+AHBPROT bricks. After installing the Homebrew Channel, I would only use AHBPROT to install IOS236 with the IOS236 Installer and then use IOS236 to do everything else. For example, when I install Priiloader on other peoples' Wii systems, I use a patched IOS36 instead of AHBPROT. I suppose one could use AHBPROT with a WAD manager, but I would never use it to install something crucial like a system menu WAD.

    Ummmm.... He is?? This is news to me as I have not talked with either you or cwstjdenobs about this before. And as for new features being added to Wii Mod, if you tell me what you would like added I can get started on it sooner. Im not saying I'll add anything suggested, but I am definitely open to ideas and will at least discuss ideas I don't fully agree with.

    the only suggestion I had for yawmm (other than adding the new ahbprot code) was to add a special button combination that is able to cancel a batch of a wad installation\uninstallations. So that way if I'm installing wad #3 or 10, then realized I made a mistake, I can cancel the installation, #3 will finish installing, but the then the remainder of the wads won't get installed or uninstalled, and instead we're taken back to the main menu

    You want to use cboot2. Have a look at my guide, no cios236 installer, no wads via ahbprot. Ahbprot will crash on wii without internet, so best to avoid it if possible.
    exploit -> hackmii -> cboot2 MMM -> cios236 wad install -> auto reload 236 -> cios wad/channels

    You can also do exploit -> hackmii -> ahbprot MMM -> cios236 wad install -> auto reload 236 -> cios wad/channels

    Also you can use cboot2 to load wiimod with ahbprot without the crash when not networked.
    exploit -> hackmii -> cboot2 wiimod -> cios/channels
    or
    exploit -> hackmii -> ahbprot wiimod -> cios/channels

    davebaol actually posted a fix for the AHBRPOT wifi crash awhile back, so as long as that is added, there's no reason to be afraid of AHBPROT any moreso than any other method. I know DOP-Mii uses AHBPROT for installing IOSes (though it doesn't install wads) and I haven't had any issues with it. That being said, I don't actually know of any wad managers that use it (haven't really looked into it that much...), but if they use davebaol's fix it should be just as safe as any other installation method.
