official page:

Now you will be able to install wads in the wii from your pc. Run the setup program, and then install the wad in your wii. Yes, that's all!
What's new?

- LAN Edition is an addon that allows you to (un)install WAD
packages directly from your PC through the local network

Just tryed this out and it works great!

thanks rhaige for the correction

I thought WAD manager 1.5 Gui was already using SMB.
but this time it's with a Wiiload like method, right ?

How to use:

1. Install the windows service on your PC (setup.exe)
2. Check the IP address shown on the cmd screen at the end of the installation (black screen)
3. Open the shortcut created on your desktop (WAD Manager - LAN Edition)
4. Copy the apps folder to your SD card
5. Run the application with any method to load homebrew (i.e. Homebrew Channel)

yeah something like that, you run a service on your windows machine, the wad manager simply connects through thatso theres no real setup required. to be honest i always have terrible issues with smb, now especially since i installed windows 7, grrr windows! grrr networking!!!

nice find, been using FTPii and it will still have its uses but this is good for all those VC game wads that take up a lot of space on the SD card.

Of course still have to fight the lack of wii memory

This is gonna sound crazy, but could somebody compile a DK Bongos version?

Left bongos: Up and down
Right bongos: Left and right

Yes, it works and it`s a very useful tool...
I would like to translate this hombrew into the german language.
I tried to compile the source-code (wii-folder) with devkitPRO, but it won`t work.

What error are you getting?
Did you change the devkit path in the makefile?

We could release the german translation on the official site!

Hi rhaige!

I`ve sent (PM) a link to the source-code of our german-translation to you.
We`ve also improved the "backgroundlan" a little bit.
Feel free to upload the release to your site...

Nice... although WAD Gui Manager still way surpasses it, with its GUI and functionality.

What would make this great would be for it to be AUTOMATIC, i.e., sending files from the computer, and they would autoinstall. That would save us for having to be sitted at the Wii during the whole install process

Hi there!
If I try to compile the source-code of this homebrew, I get the following message:
c:/devkitpro/devkitppc/bin/../lib/gcc/powerpc-gekko/4.2.4/../../../../powerpc-gekko/bin/ld.exe: cannot find -lrfdwii
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
Can someone help me to fix my bug?
