Hacking wad manager 1.5 help/problems

I have wii menu 4.2 and have downloaded wad manager 1.5, and was told to use IOS 50. When I get to the ios selection screen i choose ios 50 then my wii remotes shut off and i cant turn them back on.

is there any help you can give me?
