So I'm not under any illusions of this being fixed. I've been through the five stages of grief and I'm now accepting my dumb mistakes. Frankly I'm just curious what actually went wrong.
Basically I put some new Wii games onto my SD and went into WiiFlow lite to download the covers. The download got stuck on 0% and since I recently moved out, I figured that I must've incorrectly connected to the new network. As such I powered off the console to back out and fix the connection; in retrospect, that was obviously a really bad move and had the possibility to corrupt NAND.
So from that point, the vWii was unable to boot any channels. Since then I have ran decaffinator set to aggressive and used vWIi-NAND-Restorer to load my NAND backup. Neither worked but I did realise that I could boot most channels whilst in maintenance mode and if not I can load via HBC.
And that's where I'm at; I've not really lost a lot of functionality, but using the vWii is a bit more inconvenient. I can't boot discs but I can boot games from SD, I can't install Riivolution but I think its possible to apply patches manually and I can't install CTGP but that's not worth getting upset over.
TLDR: I busted my vWii with WiiFlow lite, just not enough to be a major concern; I'm more interested in an explanation tbh
