Vita exclusive game Freedom Wars to get remastered release on current gen consoles and PC

One of the few remaining PlayStation Vita exclusives is getting a second chance at life, as Freedom Wars Remastered has been announced. Originally published by PlayStation in 2014, the remaster will be handled by Bandai Namco, who will be releasing the game on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. There will be a major improvement to visuals, with Freedom Wars Remastered also featuring quality of life updates to the original game's crafting system. It'll also have 7 player online co-op. PlayStation still owns the license to the game, but has allowed for original developer Dimps to work with Bandai Namco on a multiplatform release. Freedom Wars Remastered will be launching on January 10th.

Wow, this is an obscure one! I may just finish the original Vita version since I've already put a few hours into that one and 2025 is still a good time away.

Heh, color me surprised that is coming to Switch and PC.

But not XBOX. What's with the hate, Sony?

PS4 is still rocking. : D

When Tearaway got ported to the PS4 it ended being a worse game, hopefully that's not the case here.
I'm still waiting for the day that PS5 seriously launches for real because as of yet, PS4 still feels like the main one.

And to make matters worse, Sony is already working on PS6.

Too many consoles, too little games.

Never heard of this game, but I'm always glad to see Vita games getting ported off the Vita. My Vita still lives today because so much was exclusive to the thing. Still have fond memories of the Vita, and probably always will.

I had similar feelings towards the Wii U as the Switch took off lol. Another system with a surprisingly great few games that deserve to see the light of day. Only a few left for the Wii U at least.

Oh yeah, no the Wii U felt that way for me as well. One of the few things me and my brother bonded over when he was younger was Mario Maker. It was also the first home console I bought with my own money. Great times there. It might just be nostalgia but I also feel the GameCube is in a similar boat. Not only is it my first console, but SO many of the games I grew up playing are still stuck on that console.

Gonna add to this to the list of games that get remakes that convinced me to play the original.

persona 3 portable (ok so not original but like two remakes down)

And now this.
