Hello,

A few years ago I purchased the below 64GB Vita memory card from play-asia.com and my PSTV reports it as 60GB available.

http://www.play-asia.com/playstation-vita-memory-card-64gb/13/707279

Now the other day I purchased another 64GB Vita memory card from amazon.jp for my second PSTV, but this time it reports as 57GB available.

https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B00F27JGVA

I did some searching around the web and it seems other people have encountered this problem. Some suggest the card is defective, fake, Korean vs Japanese region, or just sony lowering storage to increase yields.

Anyone have some thoughts? Should I be concerned? Or nothing to worry about?

Thanks

I've come across many USB sticks like this, and it's due to them switching chip brands, as different chip manufacturers have different capacities for the same target size.

I know filesystems like to gobble some to themselves, for some reason. NTFS is the biggest offender, always stealing about 10% of the drive to itself. Like, Yo NTFS.... Give those many GB back, you whore.
