Is there any app out there that puts a row of virtual buttons (home, back, menu)? I just bought a phone with broken home and back and I want a bar like that instead of an obstructive "Assistive Touch" button.

A lot of custom ROMs can force an on-screen navbar (and likewise, force disable one). I think, if you're not looking to run a custom ROM, if you're rooted there should be an Xposed module (requires root and installation of the Xposed Framework) that can add it as well (as well as give you the option to use most tweaks found in the major custom roms). But to get that, the stock android on-screen navbar, you're going to need root or a custom rom. Not getting THAT with just an app.

There is an app called Button Savior that does what you want and is customizeable. Your device has to be rooted or on 4.1+.
