Hacking VIDEO_GetCurrentTVMode and MFE player

This player is in its early project.
Will this VIDEO_GetCurrentTVMode be able to fix the pal60 red screen with rgb scart?
(some EU tvs won`t take 60hz through composite and RGB scart looks far better).
50hz is out of the question because picture gets cropped and bad interlace looks.

Is this VIDEO_GetCurrentTVMode good for other homebrew related stuff with "hidden component 480p support"?
How do I apply VIDEO_GetCurrentTVMode and does it work for many softwares as well?

If the software does not have the video autodetect routine, it needs to be recompiled to incorporate it.
