He said .avi player not dpg player,

But anyways, I believe that there is an avi player, maybe, i think it's called tuna-vids, but I haven't had any experience with it and you probably have to scale or trim the movies to be able to fit on the screen.

Dont expect too much from video playback on DS.. Moonshell is the best option available.
You'll need to convert to .DPG, but it gives the best playback.

You will HAVE to convert videos to a different format before you can watch them on your DS. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you can get video clips on your card. The best option is Moonshell, but you can look into Tuna-viDS and DSVideo if you wish.

    Moonshell > Tuna-viDS > DSVideo

Moonshell uses .dpg videos, read through this guide to learn everything, http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=35547

Tuna-viDS uses Xvid + mp3 .avi videos, check out http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/tuna-vids/index.html

DSVideo uses a special format I can't remember.

I like the quality from Tuna-viDS, if you get the settings right it's nearly perfect. Plus the file sizes are fairly small too.

Also currently aren't there somewhere around three or four of your topics on these boards within the last day which are about how you want a video player on the DS?

Edit:Also I believe DSvideo uses the .dsv format.

Perhaps my first post with Tuna-viDS is on one of his duplicated threads.

He has made 4 threads, all asking the same thing pretty much, found my first post, http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=982...t&p=1310567

    Canader.
If you mean playing directly from .aiv or .mov it's not possible.
