OK game, except for its high VC price. Sonic Mega Collection on GC/Xbox/PS2/PC is a better deal.

I liked this game as a little-lin. Don't know why it got so many harsh reviews. I found it a lot of fun and quite unique at it's time... The graphics were amazing too. Especially the "FMV" at the beginning -- blew my young mind!

I do agree with that. However, you have to realize there were way too many 2d hard core sonic fans who were disappointed with what Sega did at the time. They don't like it when you mess with their favorite video game engine.

I have this game. It was way to hard and the perspective was disorientating many times.

The Mega Drive/Genesis version didn't have an opening FMV. That was only on the Saturn version.

Actually, the original had an opening that greatly resembled FMV. Don't know if it was a real one though.
