I bet people will complain that the sliding mechanic makes everything more confusing.
Personally I loved the 2D shooters with sliding. I always thought they moved slow and needed a quickdash like move instead of just shoot wait tactics.
Then they remove them cause some sad non-gamers got confusing by their character moving too much.
I'd guess it could be just cause you had to hold down and press jump to slide but I always liked it.
Contra Hard Corps and Megaman had the best examples.

But never mind that, this is seems to be my kind of Halo like game.
Fast paced shoot the crap out of everything.

I was kinda hoping that guy would be a robot or cyborg or something but instead its just a guy in a suit.
Not very original really, but the gameplay looks good.
I'm hoping for plenty of stages, online co-op and replayable extra crap.
Looking very forward to this game.

Anyone else think they should throw in a Vectorman cameo?
