Valve announces limited edition white Steam Deck OLED

whiteoled.png

While Valve seems content with not updating hardware for the Steam Deck OLED for now, it looks like they are interested in releasing variant editions. A new limited edition white Steam Deck OLED system has been announced, and will be available in limited quantities. Sporting a white and grey color scheme and the same internals as the 1TB OLED regular edition, it'll be launching on November 18th at 3pm PST, retailing for $679.99--a slightly higher price point than the highest-end regular Steam Deck OLED.

I hate small screen. $679.99 is not worth to me. I recommend everyone to buy gaming desktop with big monitor / HDTV together are best ever easy on our eyes for to read words, work, watch movies, play video games, etc a lot better to best than Steam Deck and other similar. B-) :yay:

Buy more hard drives and more hard drives over SSD please! SSD prices are too higher need to cut down to match hard drive prices per capacity in near future! Hoard a lot of video games (all of GOG, Epic Games, Steam, Emulators, etc) , and everything will make our and your life a lot of happy for many, many years to go.

True but the back half is far easier than the front. Someone might have a better time looking for a hard shell in the desired color or painting a clear hard shell.
it depends how good you are at dissembling but you know once these limited editions sold out scalper will sell them at a ridiculous price

I know this is a joke post, but I would actually recommend smaller drives in a parity protected array over larger individual disks.

Makes replacing dead drives less of a hassle with reduced chances of data loss.

Granted it has it's own issues/hassles, but when I've had a couple of drives die weeks apart, I was thankful.

I really need to look into doing this... I've put it off for a decade.

this is old news. like almost a week old news. why post stories so late?
Pretty much, I wonder if it's even in stock.
Some people have an actual live and dont follow everything thats going on in gaming.
This doesn't work in this case, getting the news on point is the op's '''job''' (which he does for free heh).

It looks quite nice to be honest, but my Steam Deck still works perfectly fine and I have no problem with it... In any case I will keep this in mind in case I happen to drop my Deck into the river in the following days.

Honestly I would love one of these, but I don’t make enough money to justify it. I have a base model LCD that I put a 1TB SSD in, and it’s certainly good enough.

It’s the bee’s knees for emulation, which is what I got it for.

At least they didn't make the white one smaller.

Yeah they're nuts, I also don't get why you'd want a grey/white steamdeck, I've seen some people mod theirs to fit that color scheme but the deck looks huge as it is already, no need to color it brightly.
