This patch is for R4ids gold(r4ids.cn) non-3ds version released by r4ids.cn before 3DS.
You should read readme.txt attached.
After updating with success, your r4ids gold non-3ds can support NDSi V1.4.2 and 3DS.

Besides, the V1.4.2 patch for R4iDSN non-3DS version is also under testing.
It'll be released when it is ready.
Just pay attention to the news released by www.r4idsn.com.

The cards I purchase from http://www.eachgame.com/goods-4343.html has always stated they work with 3DS.

I dont have a 3DS but I assume they should work, are u saying they have never been able to work on a 3DS?

I only have NDSL NDSi NDSiXL

This patch is for the older, non-3DS carts. Newer ones like yours already work on the 3DS.
