Hacking Using U8 tool to extract rom from WAD problem

When i'm trying to extract a .WAD file, all i get is this:

Banner.bin
Icon.bin
Sound.bin

I've read that it should be possible to extract the NES cartridge using a hex editor on the 000000001.app-file, but i don't get the 000000001.app file.

Is it even possible to exract the rom from WAD? What am i doing wrong?

The .wad is 12.1mb but the extracted files are only 216kb.
