Hi,
My OG Switch was recently banned due to a homebrew app that somehow found is way onto my sysMMC, and accessing Nintendo's servers. I'm curious about whether or not being banned could actually be somewhat of a good thing, depending on the situation. I know that you can still play your physical copies of your games, update the firmware, and update games through DBI or other software if the Switch is modded. And I would also assume that, since there's no more concern about being banned, you wouldn't need to use 90DNS, exosphere, the Atmosphere redirect tool, or anything like that. So, I am thinking that there could be less hassle or maintenance while still being able to run CFW.
I do have an unbanned, unmodded Switch lite that I plan to use normally for Nintendo's servers and online play.
Basically I was just wondering what others think about having a banned Switch. Is it worth it or not? Are there workarounds for updating games, DLC, etc.?
I would be interested in hearing any opinions and thoughts.
