I would recommend using the titan one dongle. Is a usb attachement that converts imputs to different systems, it supports all drivers needed so you don't have to install anything. It works by converting HID compatible devices to DS3 DS4 used by PS3 PS4 or Xinput used by windows PC Xbox 360 and I guess xbox one. :)

ho man i am guessing it's the old problem of direct input vs new games that fail to support it
bought a xinput gamepad (a logitech one) to solve this problem for once...
it was such a bummer, only old games and some smaller games support directinput nowadays, which is a bullshit and a pain in the arse if you are trying to use your 90s looking cool joystick. or cheap gamepads

you can try your luck with https://github.com/x360ce/x360ce

however i remember some people talking that this could get you flagged on some games since you have to replace the xinput dll files
