I know there are cables that allow for gamecube controllers to be used on a PC, but what I'm after is the other way around. So in affect turning a gamecube port into an USB port. (Before anyone asks, no I'm not thinking I can use it for storage, I have something else in mind.)

IIRC, the Gamecube has 5 wires, just like USB does, so you can probably take a broken controller ans splice it with a USB cable and have that tip on it... Who knows, might work on PC [IMG]

Sorry, this is no XBox (which actually used USB controllers). Furthermore, USB has four lines.
The USB protocol is unfortunately too complicated to implement in simple, dumb adapters, not to mention the lack of a standard button mapping. So sorry, they are incompatible.

Well you see, I was thinking more along these lines,

I read somewhere that there was going to be a backwards compatible device that would allow PS2s to use PS3 controllers.

And then of course there already is PS2 to gamecube.
