Hardware USB Powered Hard Drives?

I'm using a WD my passport 320GB drive. I think most 2.5 USB drives are powered by USB, and most work fine. no idea about ones needing two usb cables. I do not think that would make much difference.

There should be no reason the one you posted would not work, and USB powered doesnt seem to matter, but not all drives seem to be compatible with Wii, so I'd check further.

My friend bought a Hitachi signature mini 320Gb USB without checking and I'll only find out later tonight if that works well with Wii. It does look very nice, in black cherry colours. If it doesnt work I'll probably buy it off him for use with my cable box, as a recorder.

If you dont mind open, Newegg sells 1 TB SATA drive with SATA connector for 80 or 90 bux. It is a great deal. 50 bux for 200 GB USB is too much. You may want to buy 500 GB for 60 bux (when it is on sale).
