My question is: What i have to try or modify on my SECOND WII to make wii sport resort to work properly?
i already tried all other solutions ive seen over the web (extracting the player.dol from iso and rename it RZTE01.dol then start settings alternate dol SD card, using IOS 250 instead of 249).

Somebody that knows how to read syscheck could help me please? Thanks!!

so it turns out syscheck's French translation calls HBCv1.1.2 "Chaine Channel" and other versions "Chaine Homebrew". All other languages use the same term.

Code:
            TXT_HBC = "Chaine Homebrew 1.0.%d utilise IOS%d";
            TXT_HBC_NEW = "Chaine Homebrew 1.1.0 utilise IOS%d";
            TXT_HBC_112 = "Chaine Channel 1.1.%d utilise IOS%d";
source: https://github.com/modmii/SysCheck-ModMii-Edition/blob/master/source/languages.c

ModMii v7.0.0 is only aware of the 1st name, I'll include a fix in the next ModMii update.

In the meantime, it's an easy fix, go in ModMii's support folder and open ModMii.bat in notepad or notepad++, and change this line from:
Code:
support\sfk filter "%sysCheckCopy%" -rep _"Chaine Channel"_"Homebrew Channel"_ -rep _"Canale Homebrew"_"Homebrew Channel"_ -rep _"Canal Homebrew"_"Homebrew Channel"_ -rep _"Homebrewkanal"_"Homebrew Channel"_ -write -yes>nul
to:
Code:
support\sfk filter "%sysCheckCopy%" -rep _"Chaine Homebrew"_"Homebrew Channel"_ -rep _"Chaine Channel"_"Homebrew Channel"_ -rep _"Canale Homebrew"_"Homebrew Channel"_ -rep _"Canal Homebrew"_"Homebrew Channel"_ -rep _"Homebrewkanal"_"Homebrew Channel"_ -write -yes>nul

Also change this:
Code:
::get HBC version (ie. "Homebrew Channel 1.1.2 running on IOS58")
to this (i.e. add 2nd line):
Code:
::get HBC version (ie. "Homebrew Channel 1.1.2 running on IOS58")
set HBCversion=0.0.1

This bug has been around for awhile since adding support for french syscheck's (v6.6.2: April 6, 2021).... you couldn't have reported this a week ago before my last update?! lol

edit:
Back to your particular situation
, looking at your syscheck, it's strange that your HBC is running off IOS61, but the syscheck says it's running off of IOS58.

The MotionPlusVideoSeen app will probably work best if running off of IOS58 and the latest HBC (v1.1.2 or above, and you're running v1.1.0 off of IOS61)

So basically, do the fix I mentioned above to ModMii.bat, then use ModMii's syscheck updater, then try the MotionPlusVideoSeen app again

When i start the game with usb loader, it loads the video and i have to press A to view it, the problem why i made this thread its because completely at the end of the video when it says you are ready to play the screen comes white and it freezes there, i power down and up the wii, try again, it does the same thing in loop.

But on my main wii (first syscheck at the top of the thread), wii sport resorts works, i really dont understand why it could not work on this second wii, its the same hdd used so it could not be the iso the problem

if im posting here, its because i really dont know what to do to make it work and i think its impossible for it to just NOT WORK and give up on it. ive searched and tried a lot of things last days, and happy to speak with one of the best in softmodding!!

Yes ive read about the author section on your website!, i have 4 girls too between 10-14 and its for them i went back upgrading my softmods on the 2 wii's i have that were not softmodded the same way back 10-12 years ago.

i hope you could help me find a working solution!

There are 2 options I can think of.

Firsy is to go full nuclear, and flash a virgin nand.bin constructed using ohneschwanzenegger & your nand backup. You may lose some stuff, or have to deal with backing up saves/mii's in order to restore them later. And there's no guarantees that a virgin ohneschwanzenegger restoration would even do the trick.

The other full nuclear option is to convert your working wii's nand dump to the other using modmii's Nand.bin cloning tools (just drag and drop or open your nand.bin with modmii)

The last idea I have is to dump the emunand of the working wii and see if u can launch it on the problematic wii using neek2o and see if that is a good enough workaround

i have the same hdd im using for both (so same wbfs iso's file)
So just to clarify, you're unplugging the HDD enclosure from one Wii and then you're connecting it to the other one? I'm asking because some people might have 2 HDD enclosures that have the same product numbers, but they're actually using different firmwares or chipsets.

I first softmodded my main wii a really really long time ago 10y+, i would need a little more step by step explanations to execute your 3 options.

1) Nand backup? you mean of the working wii or problematic one? I think i found it on my wii softmod folder from 10y+ ago on my pc, but probably i should perform a new Nand backup or dump with some program (which)? (telling you, i did that a long time ago) The Mii's i dont care about them.

2) seems an easier method than 1), but i would need more details of the steps to do in order. First i should do a nand dump? using? Once Nand dump created i drag and drop it into modmii and what it will do? how im restoring the new converted Nand dump into the problematic wii? (wii menu version of my main that is working is 4.1 and the problematic one is 4.2, when ill restore the working one into the problematic one, will it reverse it back to 4.1 like the working one? (my main wii is still on 4.1 because i have the first ever model they did at launch bought it the day it got out).

3) i don't really understand that one, knowledge i had is far in my memory.

Yes, exactly, its an hdd automatically powered by the Wii (seagate standard expansion drive 500go). So i unplug in one and plug in the other wii, always in bottom usb slot 0.

for option 1 you need a nand backup of the wii with issues, for option 2 you need a nand backup of both the Wiis

To make a nand backup, make sure you have sd:\bootmii saved to your sd card (get it from ModMii download page 2 if you need it), then launch bootmii (start the HBC, hit home, and then select launch bootmii). If you don't have bootmii installed you should install it, or you can actually use it without even installing it (you shouldn't need this option, but if you need help with this launch Caster2bootmii.bat saved to ModMii's support folder). You can launch bootmii via priiloader as well or lots of other ways, if you have bootmii installed as boot2 it may even start at launch depending on what you have saved to your SD card.

Here's a video demonstrating making a nand backup

and option #3 requires some reading on your part, but basically you can launch into an emulated system menu, i.e. an extracted copy of your working Wii's nand, and launch that on the wii with issues. So basically the wii with issues still has those issues, but it doesn't matter since when you turn it on it is loading the other Wii's system menu (which is saved to SD or USB). I won't go into more details than that for now, suffice to say if you pursue this option you should start by looking at ModMii's Sneek menu

for option 1 you need a nand backup of the wii with issues, for option 2 you need a nand backup of both the Wiis

I won't go into more details than that for now, suffice to say if you pursue this option you should start by looking at ModMii's Sneek menu

ok and for option 2, once i have the nand backup of the working wii done using bootmii, what im doing next? you told me i need a nand backup of the problematic wii as well? so i repeat the same bootmii process on the problematic one as well? and after that?

you mentioned drag and drop the nand from working wii into modmii, what it will do and how im restoring the working wii nand to the problematic one? you didnt answered that part ;)

for option 1, grab ohneschwanzenegger from ModMii's download page 2, and read it's read me. Supply it with your problem wii's nand.bin

for option 2, you need both wii's nand.bin files. drag and drop either one onto ModMii.exe (or open it from within the app by entering "F" from the main menu, or right-click the bin file and select open with ModMii, etc.). Then just follow the onscreen prompts.

The result of both options will be a new nand.bin for your problem wii that you can restore using bootmii. Option 1 will be a fresh\virgin nand, and option 2 will be a clone of the working wii's nand.

The nand restore process is the same as a nand backup except you choose the option with the arrow pointing from the sd card to the nand instead of the opposite, just make sure the nand you want to restore is saved to SD:\nand.bin. If you don't have bootmii boot2 a gamecube controller will be needed to restore the nand backup.

Be aware that if you don't have bootmii boot2 there is some risk to these methods, but I've never had any issues and don't anticipate you will either, ohness and punetwiin have never let me down before but you never know. The point is flashing the entire nand is an overkill solution and there's a reason why I call it going full nuclear.

ok, im working on option 2 which im sure my main wii nand works, both wii's are on bootmii as boot2 (starts automatically when wii starts, no channel needed). I just don't understand completely the fact that i have to drag and drop both files i imagine one at a time into modmii and the result will be only one file nand.bin? but im working on it as i write....i guess i'll figure it out when ill drag and drop.

keep you posted!

Basically there is a donor nand supplied from the working wii, and the recipient nand supplied by the wii with issues.

The donor nand is decrypted using that wii's keys and encrypted again using the other wii's keys. It spits out a new nand.bin that has the content of the donor wii but can be installed to the recipient wii.

You'll have to drag one at a time. I think once you start the onscreen instructions will make it even more clear.

Yes, just finished it, the problematic wii is now running with the cloned nand. Exactly the same as my main wii. Usb loader works and is able to run the game now.

But homebrew channel doesnt load up, it stucks in this image ?!?! the 1 option never appears ?!
(UPDATE: it finally appears after a big while i pressed 1 and it loaded up. closed it, reopened it and disclaimer screen again with big while wait again, have an idea why?)

Interesting side effect, try reinstalling the hbc. Use the hbc 1.1.5 wad if u want, or the official hackmii installer again, either one should (i hope) get this working too
I used hackmii installer downloaded from modmii page 2, installed again homebrew channel and now it works, it installed v 1.1.2 though. I think i would try to push it further and do the following to get both wii softmod updated:

1) make a backup nand again from the old problematic wii that works now
2) then perform a syscheck and upload it to modmii to get the list of updates to do
3) then download and perform them.
4) Try back the game, HBC, etc to see if all works with updated mod.
If not, then i restore the previously backup up nand and stay with what i had that everything works.

How that sound ?
