Sure, sounds good

All done, all works with updated softmod, the only think that modmii still saying me and don't know why when i upload my last syscheck.

It tells me to download optional stub wich i did the first time and yawmME also did the first time. Is there anyway to get a message like: your softmod is all up to date? or it will suggest me this in loop?

Did u install the stub wads? Or uninstall them?

If the latter you should see such a message from modmii

i installed them for sure right after the mandatory wads i had to install in the guide produced by modmii. im almost bilingual but im not sure to understand the meaning of term ‘latter’?!

ill rerun a syscheck, upload it again into modmii then download all suggested and reinstall….i’ll keep you posted shortly

the latter means the second option.

If you actually uninstall those stub IOS WADs ModMii will not make these recommendations any further.

Perhaps I will adjust modmii so it does not make this recommendation in the future if users install the stub IOS WADs instead of uninstall them, I will make a note

edit: to be clear, your mods are fine, no need to go uninstalling any WADs. It is safe to uninstall the stub WADs modmii provided, but uninstalling the wrong wad can be problematic. If you are careful, feel free to go ahead and uninstall the stub wads modmii provided. But the amount of space recovered between a stub IOS and uninstalling it entirely is minimal, so not a ton to be gained here versus what you already have

Hi back, i removed the stubs ios'S and now modmii is telling me that my softmod is up to date!!!!!
Thank you very very very much for all the help, i understand a lot more all the terms and what i have done more than 10 years ago.

Back in the days, the best SD cards that were functionning with the softmodding was kingston or sandisk 2go normal SD card. Not SDHC. I would like to order probably from amazon 2 new SD card with more capacity than 2 go, is there a viable list of SD card tested of 8go or 16go that is tested to work with softmod? i found a couple of list on the web, but if you could guide me i told myself i could not have a better answer than by the best!

Thanks again for all your support!

SanDisk and Kingston are still top brands, but really anything should work (just be aware of scams, plenty of sd cards and usb hard drives that are way too good to be true and often their capacity is smaller than advertised or other issues).

You may not be able to restore a bootmii nand backup using very large cards.

And cards larger than 32gb may not be recognized by the official wii menu (unless you make the 1st partition 32gb or smaller)

my plan is to put more emulators and old games on it, now my 2go standard sd card is full 130mb left and it has all the nes and snes games that existed, now that all my softmod is up to date, im planning on testing others like ColecoVision, Atari, sega genesis….

my old setup from 10 years ago is a seagate expansion drive 500go connected and powered by the wii, theres 3 partitions on that drive all my 100 games of wii are on the wbfs partition of 300 go. i think i will extract all games from the hdd to my pc and reformat it to be the full 500go for games and then put back my 100 wii games on it and then add up n64 and Gamecube games on the drive.

im telling myself the hdd could be used for larger games in space like wii, gc, n64 and then the larger sd card i will buy will contain the small consoles like nes, snes, coleco, sega genesis, atari, turbographic 16, etc

In your answer you wrote that anything could do it, im aiming 16 or 32go SD card but from what i can see its all SDHC cards now, the homebrew doesnt have any problem with SDHC card? i dont remember why but over 10 years ago it HAD to be a standard SD it was precised NOT HC…? on top of that theres class now like class 4, class 10
