Hacking USB Loader GX recognises usb key but not my external hard drive

So here's my problem:

It works well when I use my usb key to play games, but when I try with my hard drive ( 1 To Seagate Backup Plus Slim USB 3,0), USB Loader GX keeps showing me what I call the "wrong port message" and brings me back to the wii menu. Sometime, the word "Loading..." appears, it freezes and then I have to restart my wii. It's weird cause I have formated & put games on it the same way that I did on my key (with WBFS Manager 3.0).

What should I do now?

I had the same problem. I am still experimenting with drives trying to find the right one. I hear the slim drives require a usb y cable to get enough power to operate correctly.
