Hello, so this is my first time actually interacting with the forums as ive recently gotten into Wii U homebrew/modding.

I'm currently on Aroma with The Homebrew Channel on the VWii

So i managed to get USB Loader GX on my VWii while using a 256GB SD card as storage for my wii games also in the WBFS format. I installed Nintendont since i wanted to play gamecube games but I wasnt able to move my gamecube games to the SD Card reformatting. And so I did and made it into FAT32 with a wbfs folder for my Wii games and a "games" folder for my Gamecube games with everything in the correct format. I've been led to believe that USB Loader GX can read FAT32 formats but it just gives me the error "USB Device not initialized. Switching to channel list mode" while switching to a seperate sd card i have for all the homebrew apps and what not.

Is there any way to fix this or at least re-do this so that it can read both my Wii and Gamecube games?

thats not a bad deal for a laptop actually unless you're unlucky and get the bottom spec on everything then its basically a chromebook

Why not just use the original controller you ripped apart? Cool project but seems like a waste. I made my own controller/ fight stick for switch using an Arduino, and even uploaded my code here on a forum.

Neither 8bitdo controllers nor Old Spice deodorants are some priceless relics, and if the guy wants to faff around let him.

The point is "cramming a controller into a deodorant stick" and not "making the best possible controller".

True I guess, to each they own. I know I've made some projects in the past that are cool to me, but others are like wtf.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Generally most of the "let's cram stuff into other stuff" projects are learning experiences, they're not meant to result in an actually useful product. But you learn a lot.

Once you've done a few of those, building something actually useful will come much easier.

I made myself a soundboard handheld w amplified speaker and 3d printed a case with 10 buttons. Loaded it with bird sounds. I sit on my porch alot and use it to talk to the birds, and they respond back to it. I think its cool but wifey thinks I'm crazy.
