Hardware usb lan and homebrew channel

dumb question for you guys what is the trick to get the homebrew channel to connect to the internet when using a usb lan adapter I am having no luck with it it is configured as connection 1 in the system menu but when I goto homebrew channel it will not ininalize the network connection

afaik no wii homebrew support usb-lan
so appart from porting or coding a driver you could be out of luck

but older/used wifi devices (802.11g or even b) should be available cheaply
the wii does not support fast wifi (802.11n) anyway

Any homebrew that supports network should work with the USB LAN adapter, from the program's point of view it is no different to wifi.
