(USB HDD Update!) TX Anounces SX AUTOLOADER v1.10 from Team [WAIN]

Team [WAIN] is back with a quick update to their SX Autoloader release!
SXAL2.png

We have not heard from Team [WAIN] for a while, and today they dropped a bomb-shell of an add-on to SX OS, a simple little file that adds a much needed feature, 'auto-loading' of all your backup cartridges, no more hunting thru lots of icons to find a game and mounting it just click on the Game Icon you want to play right now and magically the cartridge will be inserted for you, its like having a multi-CD-changer attached to your Switch console! :)
Thanks to their friends at Team [WAIN] they have released an small 'add-on' to their SX OS v2.9.2 which allows you to 'auto-load', what that means now you just find the game you have previously played on your Horizon Home Screen, click on it, and even if it is a dumped cartridge in XCI format, as long as you still have the files on your Micro SD-Card and/or USB HDD, it will now auto-mount the cartridge backup for you and launch it, no more getting upset seeing the 'insert the game card' message, then having to go to Album, launch via their SX OS menu, scroll-over and find the game, and mount it and go back.

As long as you have at least mounted your XCI image once via their SX OS menu, now you can just simply click on a XCI Game Icon and it will Auto-Mount and Launch for you directly from the Horizon Home Screen. Is that not amazing! :)
NEW RELEASE: (Nov. 2th, 2019)
Changelog v1.1
  • Added USB HDD Support
  • Improved XCI detection
  • Database caching for speed
NOTE: If you have large XCI collection on your USB HDD, first time usage may take a couple of minutes for the database to be built.
IMPORTANT: If you get an Error Code on boot-up, then it means your SD Card has corruption on it, please re-format it and start fresh.
As usual, you can find their latest version of SX Autoloader in the TX Community Resources section, just unpack the new version overwriting the previous files.

To see it in action check out this video below:

I want permanent CFW not a ladder to reach some stuff quicker. Unnecessary feature in my opinion.

its a time saver that all but if you have over a ton of games 100+ this would making select your game easier than scrolling through the list in album

Get a mod chip fitted, there's literally no other way you'll end up with anything resembling "permanent" CFW unless your fw/fuses are on a very low version AND you get very lucky with someone finding a system save exploit.

On topic: the XCI loading process always sounded pretty annoying to me (I just used NSP even in the short time I was using SX OS before Atmosphere got an official release), so this sounds like a nice feature that offers a genuine improvement - even if it did have to come from a third party.

Now this is useful. What a great idea to implement XCI loading in this way, I never even considered that that might be possible. It's not going to make me Switch :switch: back to SX OS, as to me it's not really more convenient than NSPs (to transfer XCIs to the card you need to turn the console completely off if you don't want to use buggy USB file transfer, or slow FTP, but NSP installing over USB works perfectly and is fast)
But it is a nice addition for those who prefer to use XCIs, or who have a bunch of games they only play in docked mode loading from a USB HDD.
And with better support for MTP file transfer, you could just use that, which might even be faster than USB NSP installs.
I wouldn't call $20 hard earned money.
Good luck finding it for less than $30.

Yes, as hippy said, just get a mod chip fitted then you got coldboot.
No point in waiting indefinitely for some software solution to come.

What I wanted to know I have mentioned this already but does this have any affect on a non-banned console because it uses sxos/titles.. as it’s route which apart from themes I always thought this was bad? I presume this app basically turns the xci into a mounted emulated conversion nsp which I feel a bit worried about using but the actual point of it is really handy.

any cfw can lead to a ban if you an't careful but if ur doing this in emunand with 90dns,incod or stealth mode its fine. installing nsp in sysnand is a bad idea

There’s no harm in using xci in the proper mounted format I’ve been doing it for a long time now without any issues but this method does it mount the whole xci with the certificates? Or is it mounting a basic nsp like you would installing an nsp you don’t own? I would like to know these answers? What’s does it actually do?

You can copy xci file off usb drive with SX Installer, no need to restart

all this does look at the xci mount history list and match the title id and mounts the xci for you as long as the file is still in the same location as the first time you mounted it

True, but that takes longer. Probably faster to just install a NSP at that point.
It’s just as fast as installing nsp via usb connection, only down size is that you can only copy xci to sd, not like you can install nsp to internal memory which I suppose would be a bit faster in term of game loading

you can install games to the internal memory but its only 32GB of space and best way to get banned

This is Awesome!!!!!!! Now just need the USB HDD feature.
And a way to truly organize your icons.. so they don't move and stay in one place.
Possibly by folders or something... So can make folders by naming them "beaten" or "yet to play" or AAA+ games folder.. etc..

Saves alot of time mounting and searching stuff.
