Ive set up usb loader gx and today I purchased a 3mtr USB cable as I wanted to connect my hdd which is by my pc then run the 3mtr cable to my wii. It was only a cheap cable, costing a mere £2.99. Anyway, I connected everything up but when i launched the usb loader, as it was loading up, this message came up with a coundown timer

"waiting for your slow usb devices", the countdown timer is next to it. When it gets to zero, my wii boots to the wii main menu!

What should I do, buy a better usb cable?Anyone else use a longer usb cable and dont have any problems??? Thanks in advance guys [IMG]

the problem could be the cable
try using the usb cable wire that comes with the portable hdd, just put the hdd beside your wii.
also try using a wbfs format for your hdd.

Wait. Are you trying to hook your, Wii up to your computers HD, via a Male to Male cable?

    Warning: Spoilers inside!
    ^Like this?

Plugging one into your computers USB port, and one into the Wiis? I don't believe that will work. If your not, doing the above then it's your USB cable, or your Wiis USB port. Have you tried switching the USB port on the Wii that your using?

Oh, Ok. Next thing for you to try is switching which port on the Wii, you are connecting your USB HDD to. What brand is it?

It must be the usb lead as the lead that came with my hdd works like a dream. I did only pay £2.99, errwhich must be around $5 or not far off
